May  2008
The world is pink and blue and purple.
The first iris opened yesterday.
Today the old-fashioned iris opened.

Can you guess what this is?
It's much smaller than it appears here -
notice the lily of the valley in the background.

These are weeds.  A lovely shade of blue.

This is a weed, too.

The violets just appeared one year, and we were able to get some to stay in a garden.
This is torenia, also called wishbone flower.
We picked it up today at Frog Pond.
It's in a pot now, but we will put it in the garden.

The giant allium has multiplied nicely in the garden

And the chives look and taste great!

This lilac is much darker than it appears.
We brought this shoot from the Flower House.

Send comments, please,

We love to hear from folks.
