Stone Quarry Hill Art Park
Cazenovia, NY

April 17, 2006
After a delicious lunch in the tavern in the Lincklaen House, we needed to walk off the calories.

We had heard there was a sculpture garden in Cazenovia, and one of the group had checked the map.
You find the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park on Stone Quarry Road about a mile east of Cazenovia, NY.
For more information, including background, history, photos, and a map, go to their website.

The drive is delightful.  As you drive in there are wonderful sculptures scattered here and there in the fields.
At the top of the hill are many paths with marvelous views and fascinating sculpture.

The whimsy of the straw snake on the top of the building fascinates visitors.

It was a cool and breezy spring day, and we were not dressed appropriately to enjoy the grounds.
We will have to return.

As you walk, you continually discover more and more interesting pieces.
Can you see a face in the background?

Here we are a bit closer.
You can easily see the face.
Can you see the skeleton below the face?
As you approach and see the sculpture from different distances and different points of view, you see more of the complexity of the design.
As you change perspective, you can see the twin towers - ghostly on the right and smoky on the left..
And the hills in the background....
