Cherry Valley Museum

Cherry Valley, New York

August 12, 2006

The Cherry Valley Historical Society, founded in 1957, owns this building, the White-Phelon-Sutliff House, built in 1832.
When you sign in, you are offered the opportunity to see a movie of the history of Cherry Valley.  Very interesting.

There are two old Fire Engines found here, but hard to photograph because of all the interesting "stuff" around them.

There is a child's potty chair.

A hatbox for a top hat.

Doll carriages

A wonderful child's rocking horse.

A young woman's summer daytime dress, late 1890s.

Eyelet embroiderred daytime hat for a young woman, circa 1912.

There is lots and lots of stuff.  We took many pictures, and we would be happy to share them.  Let me know if you want to see more!

We enjoyed our visit, and combined it with a trip to The Old Stone Fort to see the museum there.

e-mail Leslie here.

Here's a link to all the rest of the grandkids' pages.
